Hi, I’m Luisa Plaja!
I’m an author, editor, linguist and creative writing tutor.
I’ve always loved writing, and my first short story was published in a national magazine when I was 14 years old. My novels, stories and non-fiction books have since been published in several languages and many countries.
I’m enthusiastic about inspiring a love of the written word in children and teenagers, aiming to spark lifelong creativity.

Group and individual classes for children: lively, fun writing activities
Writing is a magical form of communication. Your child can join a small group online class with me to maximise the enjoyment. We’ll spark each other’s ideas and imaginations, we’ll laugh together and generally have friendly fun with words and writing!
If you’d prefer a more tailored approach for your child, I also offer one-to-one lessons, either live online or by email. I can focus on specific skills or simply guide your children through the development of their own stories from start to finish.

I have a first class honours degree in Linguistics and a Cambridge CELTA English teaching certificate. I’m a multi-published author in several countries. I’ve been a professional in the world of words and writing for many, many (yikes!) years. Find out more about me.

Luisa’s lessons were great. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed them and was always waiting for the next lesson. She usually starts a story and never finishes but the lessons with Luisa motivated her to write a story from start to finish. What I liked as a parent was, Luisa sends emails at end of every lesson with summary of what was discussed and worksheets which were quite useful to revisit later.
In a nutshell, creative writing with Luisa was amazing!
